ARTISTS’ STUDIO GALLERY & SCHOOL OF FINE ART

The Artists’ Studio Gallery & School of Fine Art is a unique concept created by  artists Sally Nooney and Paul Zipperlin. Their love and enthusiasm for painting compelled them to open their art school and gallery.

“We wanted a studio atmosphere where artists of all levels could come to work and learn together; and receive encouragement and inspiration.”

.

Classes are by the day, rather than six or eight week sessions.

“We felt that a flexible schedule would better fit our community, since we have so many people coming and going here in the mountains. We are always teaching the three C’s of painting, so a student doesn’t feel they’re missing something important if they have to miss a class."

They also wanted to give vacationers the opportunity to paint while they’re in the area. “We’ve had several that have taken classes while visiting in the High Country.”

Adult classes for all levels continue each month in oil, acrylic, and watercolor.

July 21, Friday, Watermedia 9am to 3pm                                                      July 22, Saturday, Watermedia 10am to 4pm

August 19, Saturday, Watermedia 10am to 4pm

Register early, classes limited to 12 students

Sally Shelton Nooney is well known  for her decorative painting on furniture, walls, and floor cloths. She has also established herself as a fine artist with her still life’s, landscapes, and animal paintings in oil, watercolor, and acrylic.

Nooney recently won the “People’s Choice” award for her painting “Oops! Wrong Tree”.

This and other works may be viewed at the Artists’ Studio Gallery, Tuesday through Saturday, 10AM to 5PM, or by appointment.

The studio, located in a quaint, stone building in the quiet, picturesque Matney community, is an inviting gathering place for creative spirits.
